Community ministries provide opportunities for all parishioners to come together for faith development, social functions and mutual support. These ministries provide a sense of belonging within our parish and the community-at-large.

Basketball - CYO League

Twenty teams, comprised of approximately 200 boys and girls, learn sportsmanship skills and team spirit while allowing both athletes and parents to get to know one another. Parents participate as referees. The CYO teaches and instills team concepts and the spirit of fun.

Basketball - Parish League (Grades 3 - 8)

Our Parish Basketball League consists of young parishioners in grades 3 - 8. The League is solely run by parish volunteers who assist in coaching, refereeing and food sales. October registration is followed by a clinic and draft in November. Games are on Saturdays and Sundays, usually at the Parish Center. The season winds down with a playoff series, in which all teams participate and ends with a pizza party/award ceremony in March. The league's goal is to stress sportsmanship, team-building and fun in a Catholic environment. Volunteers are always welcome.

Blue Horizons

Blue Horizons provides social events and support for widows in our community. This ministry was originally started as a support group and has now evolved into a social and informational group. Meetings are usually held the first Friday of each month (except for summer).

Special Event Planning

This committee plans for parish members to socialize and celebrate together.

Hospitality Committee

This committee provides coffee and fellowship after Sunday Masses and special events during the year.

 Elementary School Socials

(Grades 2 - 5)

This program's goal is to bring our young people together for fun activities in a church setting. Some activities include a Halloween Party, Turkey Trot, Movie Nights, Dance Party and the Easter Egg Hunt.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Our program is a one week (five day, three hours per day format) and is comprised of four separate grade levels - Kindergarten through 3rd grade.  The daily lessons reflect on a different scriptural theme each year and include prayer, a Bible story, skits, activities/games, crafts and a snack component, as well.  Music is an integral part of each lesson.  A service project teaches the children to reach out to others in need.   The last day of the week long program consists of a Field Day where the children enjoy a fun time outside and participate in many games and activities.  Parents are invited to a closing ceremony where the children perform songs related to the theme of the week's Bible lessons.

Theology on Tap

Theology on Tap provides an opportunity for young adults to explore issues and topics that relate to the Catholic faith in a fun and casual environment.  These events are free and take place in the evening at a local tavern.  A variety of religious and lay speakers discuss an array of topics that are important to your adults.  To sign up for the mailing list, send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
