Confirmation is an opportunity to deepen one's commitment to a specific way of life - as a follower of Jesus.

Confirmation preparation is a two year program for 9th and 10th high school students.  Classes are held in small groups in the homes of the catechists twice a month from October through March.  Each group is assisted by one or two Peer Ministers who are Junior and Senior high school students.  Confirmation takes place in the spring of the 10th grade.

Each candidate, with the help of his or her parents, is responsible for choosing a sponsor.  In many ways, sponsors are people who mentor young people into the Catholic way of life.

A vital part of the candidate's preparation for living a full Christian life, is developing a habit of service.  They are required to undertake meaningful and, preferably, ongoing service.  In addition to individual service, it is recommended that candidates join their sponsors, families or Confirmation small group in carrying out their service.

Parishioners can stay informed of the Confirmation program through bulletin announcements and support the candidates with their prayers.
