Our Middle School Program (Grades 6, 7, and 8) consists of small groups that meet weekly in the homes of the catechists or in the meeting rooms of the Parish Center. The day, time, and location of the classes is determined by the catechist.
During the Middle School years the students will study about the Old Testament, the life of Jesus in the New Testament, a more detailed study of the Sacraments, Morality and Discipleship.
Christian service is an important element that is introduced and required beginning with the 6th grade and continuing through the 10th grade in preparation for Confirmation. Christian faith requires that we follow Jesus' example to serve and love one another. Research has proven that doing hours of service significantly improves a young person's sense that he or she can make a difference.
Children are encouraged to participate in our Middle School Youth Ministry program entitled "Catholics in Action" (CIA). This program provides social, spiritual and service opportunities for our Middle School youth.
See more information under "Middle School Youth Ministry Program".
