SING A NEW SONG, UNTO THE LORD...
The Saint Helen's Music Ministry offers choral groups and several other opportunities for singers and musicians.


The Hummingbird Children's Choir is for members of the parish in grades 2 – 6.  Directed by Cindy Brogan, the Hummingbirds rehearse regularly on Friday afternoons from 4-4:45 PM  and sing at the 9:15 AM Sunday Mass approximately twice per month.  Bring your friends and join the fun!


The St. Helen's Songbirds is for members of the parish in grades 9-12.  Directed by Stephanie Fowler, the Songbirds sing at the 6:30 PM Sunday Mass weekly from September through June.  Rehearsals are held weekly from 5:30-6:30 PM on Sunday evenings before Mass.   Once a month we welcome Middle School students grades 6-8 to join the Songbirds. The St. Helen's Choir, directed by Cindy Brogan, holds its regular rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9 PM in the Church.  We sing at the 10:45 AM Sunday Mass weekly from September through June and for other special occasions, holidays and Holy Days.  In preparation for the Advent/Christmas and Lent/Triduum/Easter seasons, Thursday evening rehearsals are extended or additional rehearsals are held on a second weekday evening.  These supplemental rehearsals are scheduled seasonally based upon general availability of the choir members.  Come and sing with us!


Seasonal Choirs: For those of you who would love to be a part of our church choirs but cannot make the time commitment on a weekly basis, consider joining our seasonal choirs.  Children in grades 2-8 may join the Hummingbird Choir and students in grades 9-12 may join the Songbirds.  Adults are welcome to join the St. Helen's Choir during the Advent/Christmas and Lent/Triduum/Easter Seasons.  Look for rehearsal announcements in the bulletin.


Are you a musician or vocalist who cannot commit to our choir schedules? The music ministry welcomes instrumentalists and solo singers who would like to share their talents with the congregation as musicians and cantors.  In addition to Sunday Mass cantors and musicians are an integral part of many special celebrations including Penance Services, Confirmations, Communions, Stations of the Cross, and Eucharistic Adoration services, to name a few.    If you would like to participate in the Music Ministry at St. Helen's, please contact Cindy Brogan, Music Director, at 908-232-1214 Ext. 119 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
